Could these springs heal us of cholera???

Soda Springs!!!!
Soda Springs was an important stopping place for travelers on the Oregon Trail. The pioneers took advantage of the hot bubbling water to wash clothes, refresh and rest. Also ancient volcanic activity had made the water bubble like soda. You can still see wagon ruts at Soda Springs, and if you drink too much water you might get sick. It will be remembered as a great place to stop, play, and take a bath. Soda Springs is known as one of the most interesting landmarks on the Oregon Trail. The pioneers thought the springs could heal them of any illness!!! It was a welcome spot along the trail! Jack J.
